How to Choose A Vew-Do Balance Board
Which board to purchase?!
It depends on the rider! We offer a variety of balance boards for multiple generations, sports and training or rehabilitation purposes. And they are all unique, of the highest quality and design for balance development, athleticism, entertainment and skill.
The iBeam is what makes Vew-Do rail over all other balance boards. It flows quickly and smoothly, yet provides a stopping point that utilizes the length and width of the board.
- If you Snowboard: The Flow and Zippy are designed for you.
- If you Skateboard: Check out the El Dorado.
- If you Paddleboard: Try the Flow, Zippy, Baseline or Surf33.
- If you Surf or Wake-surf: Go for the Baseline or Surf33.
E-foil, water sports, hiking, trekking, skiing, yoga, pro-athlete training, ankle strength and busy kid brain development are all improved by using a Vew-Do board!
Just learning to balance: Add a foam teeter to your order or choose the Zippy which includes one, and has a roller with "bumpers" that act as training wheels to help develop speed and skill safely.
What is the difference between the Zippy and Flow?
The decks are shaped and sized differently. The Flow and the Zippy decks have the same overall running length of the iBeam rail system.
The overall size of the Zippy is larger and has a higher tip/tail height than the Flow.
The most significant difference in performance is designed around the attachment used. The longer Zippy roller is machined with our patented outrigger design which acts as training wheels when a rider applies toe or heel pressure to the board. The Zippy roller is great for beginner to intermediate combos due to the outriggers, which limit the angle at which the roller can tilt up on toe and heel edge. It offers increased stability when performing maneuvers such as turning, spinning and tilting. The Flow roller was designed without outriggers, thereby making it more aggressive on both toe and heel edge. The Flow roller is the more challenging of the two and more performance driven.
What attachment should I order as an add-on?

Can these balance boards be used for exercising- how can I incorporate them into my workout?
Yes, Vew-Do balance boards are a great addition to gym or home workouts. We have complied some exercise videos from our friend Mike at Evolution Physical Therapy and Fitness. Here are the best balance boards for a great workout.
My child is under 5-years old. Do you have a balance board they could use?
Absolutely! We have the Mini! It's a smaller version of our normal boards, comes with a teeter to help riders get started, and when they are ready, you can upgrade to one of our rollers that all fit nicely on our patented iBeam rail system.
If your child is a more athletic, and amazes you by showing off strength and speed, we recommend the Zippy as a great starter option. While it’s a challenging board when used with its included roller, it does come with a free foam teeter and is extremely fun to ride once they get the hang of it.
I have a standing desk - do you have a board that would work for me?
Yes, we do! The Zone for standing desks is exactly what you need. Sit from a desk to improve circulation with foot movement or stand to improve core and balance movement. We've taken one of the best standing desk balance boards and made it even easier to use and more comfortable to stand on. With no moving parts and a thick EVA top, you are free to stand comfortably while improving circulation, core strength, cognition and health!
Still questioning why, you would even want to stand on a board while working? Find out why!

Already Own A Vew-Do Balance Board
I lost the roller for my board can I get a replacement?
Absolutely! All our rollers, foam teeters and urethane wobbles are interchangeable with the iBeam rail system.
I need a new roller for my 20-year-old Vew-Do board- will the attachments that are currently on the website fit my board?
These boards last a long time! Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the current foam teeters, wooden rollers or urethane wobbles will fit old boards. The dimensions of the cuts in the attachments are similar to the sizing of old rails but because of consistency concerns we cannot say for sure that current attachments will fit your exact older style board. The current accessories are designed to fit the newest iBeam rail track systems. If you think a certain attachment might fit and your board is still in great shape- send us detailed rail dimensions. We will definitely help guide you but can't really guarantee a perfect fit on a worn rail without having it in person.
What types of surfaces do these boards work on?
For boards utilizing wooden rollers, carpeted surfaces work best, as they help the rider control their speed. More advanced riders enjoy riding them on concrete, tile, or garage floors, although beginners may find that those surfaces are too fast. We don’t recommended riding on hardwood floors, as the board will move too fast for many riders. The floor may incur damage as well. Rocky surfaces may damage the wooden roller and cause it to wear prematurely.
Can I use the board on a carpet?
Yes, low-pile carpet is best. If the carpet is too plush, it can make the board and roller ride overly slow.
What are the iBeam rails on the bottom of the boards made of?
Most of the Vew-Do boards have the iBeam molded rail end stop system made of GFPPCC (Chemically Coupled Glass-Reinforced Polypropylene) which is essentially a Fiberglass reinforced polypropylene plastic that offers high strength and stiffness, can handle high temperatures, high impact strength, chemical resistance and is typically used in appliances, electrical components, automotive, irrigation and utility products and last but not least on Vew-Do tracks and end stops.
The Baseline and Surf33 have hand-made shaped wooden rails that curve with the shape of the board for a flow that emulates the feeling of being on the surface of water.
